Rental Information

Rental Policy/Contract

The Cohen Rese Gallery is a retail art gallery. Our second floor space located at 420 Sutter Street is available for rentals for a variety of events, including parties, receptions, meetings and conferences. The main gallery space is approx. 2000 sq. ft. and can accommodate 150 people.

Fees
Fee is negotiable based on date of rental and hours. Please contact the gallery with your requirements. Payment is due the day of the event. Gallery accepts visa/mastercard or check.

Security Deposit
Upon mutual acceptance of reservation, a $500.00 security deposit is required. The security Deposit will be refunded if no damages have occurred and the space is returned in the same condition as prior to rental.

Event Insurance
You must have liability insurance for your event. If you or your company already carries general liability insurance there should be no problem receiving a certificate of insurance for naming the Cohen Rese Gallery as additional insured. Parking
The Cohen Rese Gallery is conveniently located 1/2 block from the Sutter Stockton Garage. There is a commercial loading zone directly in front for load in of equipment and supplies.

Alcohol Policy
Alcohol may be served at the Cohen Rese Gallery. The Gallery reserves the right to close all bars should the gallery staff deem it necessary to protect the facility and safety of individuals. Bartenders will be professional and will obey the laws pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages.

Event Planner/Caterer Responsibilities

• Set up times and Gallery closing times will be mutually agreed upon and is included as part of the rental agreement.
• The event planner/caterer representative will be on site throughout the event from the time of deliveries until end of clean up.
• The event planner/caterer will be responsible for unloading, set up and reloading all related goods.
  All related rental items and delivered goods are to be signed for by the event planned/caterer representative –no exceptions.
• The Event planner/caterer is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the gallery including restrooms and public areas used during the event and at the end of the event shall be cleaned to the full satisfaction of the Gallery representative.
• The Event planner/caterer is responsible at the end of the event for cleaning the gallery including kitchen prep area, main gallery floors, bathrooms etc. all trash and bottles removed all rental equipment removed.

House Rules

1. The rental agreement is between the Cohen Rese Gallery and the rentee, the rentee is soley responsible for all monies owed.
2. The Cohen Rese Gallery reserves the right to move (or not move) any works of art on display. At no time will artwork or furniture be moved without prior permission.
3. No items are to be hung, taped or nailed to gallery walls or furniture without prior permission.
4. Any and All publicity concerning the Cohen Rese Gallery must be approved by the Gallery owner.
5. A Gallery representative will be on site throughout the event.
6. No Smoking is allowed in the gallery.
7. The gallery does not assume responsibility for lost items or items left by guests and caterers.
8. In the event of damages occurring to any artworks, or to the gallery itself, the rentee will be held responsible and will be billed accordingly. This includes but is not limited to scratches, nicks, breaks, stains or marks of any kind.

Occupancy
The main gallery at 420 Sutter can accommodate 150 guests.
